Exodus: A Journey to the Promised Land || Ten Best Ways
"The exodus is a powerful symbol that the present situation does not define what is possible for God."
—Terence E. Fretheim
How good are you at keeping the law? Many of us regularly drive four miles over the speed limit. We are prone to roll through a stop-sign if no one is around. We jaywalk often--especially in the current landscape of a quieter downtown DC. What about the Ten Commandments? Do we keep them, or seek to slide through a time or two? It makes sense for God to ask us not to commit murder, but did God really think we could make it through life without coveting something that belongs to our neighbor? Yes. But the commandments are about much more than a courthouse display or a list of do's and don'ts. They are actually a beautiful way of our loving God and being reminded of God's profound care of us. Join us on Sunday at 11:00am EDT for a grace-filled exploration of the law as we conclude our series on Exodus with "Ten Best Ways."
