Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me. — Matthew 25:40

As a church in the center of the city, we are constantly seeking to discern how we can most faithfully serve our community – from the people who fill our pews on Sunday, the individuals who work in the buildings all around us, as well as those that don’t have a place to call home. We regularly serve through ministries within our congregation and organizations throughout our city. In addition to serving others, we seek to provide opportunities to learn as much as we can about and act on issues of social justice facing our city, nation and world.

MVP’s Shower Ministry experience include showers, socks and underwear distribution for program participants, and hospitality space for our program participants that includes coffee, tea, water and snacks. Are you interested in SERVING with this ministry?

You are invited to join MVPers in serving dinner at Christ House, a healthcare facility in Adams Morgan for unhoused men, on the second Sunday of each month. This service opportunity includes setting up for dinner, serving the food that Christ House has prepared, having conversation with the men during dinner, and cleaning up afterwards.

NOTE: While we offer all of these opportunities for you to explore and engage with in a way that makes sense for you, not all of these opportunities are sponsored by MVP and the appearance of any particular opportunity to engage with on this page is not necessarily an endorsement of that opportunity or organization.
