Oh the Places We Go || Places We Go When We Feel Wronged

Sunday, May 1, 2022 || 11:00am

Rev. Dr. Donna Claycomb Sokol || Pastor

Acts 9:1-20

“Without understanding how our feelings, thoughts, and behaviors work together, it’s almost impossible to find our way back to ourselves and each other. When we don’t understand how our emotions shape our thoughts and decisions, we become disembodied from our own experiences and disconnected from other.”

-Brené Brown, Atlas of the Heart

Behind our anger might be fear, anxiety, frustration, confusion, jealousy, shame, rejection, and so much more. What was behind Paul’s anger? Why did he allow the emotions of anger and hatred to take over his entire body as he breathed threats and murder against the disciples of Jesus? Jesus did not leave him as he was but instead touched him, allowing scales to fall. How might we channel our anger and hatred in a way that enables us to see with new eyes?

Join us on Sunday as our series, "Oh the Place We Go!" continues with Places We Go When We Feel Wronged.
