Jeremiah 1:1-10

Where do we find hope when our bodies and spirits bear the weight of wounds? How do we maintain our faith when it feels as though God is silent—or powerless—before the thrones of earthly power? What do we do with the aching fear that God has forgotten us? The prophetic book of Jeremiah does not turn away from these questions—but seeks to answer them. Written during the devastation of Judah, as Babylon invaded and Jerusalem was destroyed, Jeremiah gives voice to a grieving people searching for God amid the ruins.

Join us this week as our series on the book of Jeremiah begins. Together we will seek to enter this ancient ache, explore the prophet’s fierce honesty and fragile hope, and prayerfully discover wisdom to sustain us in our own times of turmoil—and perhaps even deepen our trust in God who has not and will not let us go.
