Join Us For Worship in the Fellowship Hall!

Our elevator is currently out of commission due to a small fire in the building in late June. In order to ensure everyone has access to our worship space and to live in alignment with our core value around building inclusive and authentic community, our congregation is currently worshiping together in the Fellowship Hall on the ground level instead of the Sanctuary which is on the second floor. While the space might not have the same historic beauty and stained glass as our sanctuary, it is filled with light and a vibrancy that is enhanced by people gathering in chairs for worship or over coffee and snacks following worship. Individuals needing stair-free access to the Fellowship Hall are invited to enter the building through the Atrium doors located on K Street NW. People who can navigate set of six steps may enter through the Atrium doors on Massachusetts Avenue NW or through the Parking Garage entrance.

Children

CHILDREN IN WORSHIP:

Every worship service includes a children’s blessing that seeks to make the worship experience accessible for children of all ages. Children will be invited to participate from the front of the worship space.

NURSERY CARE:

MVP offers Nursery Care for infants and toddlers from 10:30am through the end of worship in a carefully designed space in the Chapel. If your family would like to take advantage of Nursery Care you are invited to bring your infants and toddlers to the Chapel where you will see one of our staff or volunteers ready to receive you and help you with drop-off.

CHILDREN’S LIBRARY & WORSHIP KITS:

One-time use worship kits are available for children ages 4 and up. These kits are available for pick-up in the Fellowship Hall on the RIGHT side of the room, just beyond the kitchenette. Here you will also find a wonderful selection of books for use while in the building. Families are asked to place return borrowed books, after use.
