What makes news “good” to you? What good news are you most longing to hear? Who needs to tell of such news for you to believe it is true? When is news too good to be true? Join us this Advent season as we hear the good news proclaimed by prophets, preachers, and angels before pondering how we might receive and respond to their much-needed promises for deliverance, peace, and transformation.
This morning we encounter John the Baptist, an unlikely character who offers an invitation to respond to one who can transform lives from the inside out. Would you have stopped to listen to John if you encountered him in the wilderness? Would you have responded to the invitation being extended by this strange man eating locusts and wild honey? What does it take for you to believe that your life can be changed from the inside out?
