Post-Traumatic Growth: Lessons from the Pandemic || Choose Life!

Sunday, June 6, 2021

Rev. Dr. Donna Claycomb Sokol || Pastor

Deuteronomy 30:15-19 & John 10:7-18

A northern indigenous village in Australia has a powerful way of witnessing and mirroring grief. When someone dies, everyone in the village moves something in their yard—a piece of furniture or another object. “The next day,” David Kessler explains, “when the bereaved family wakes up and looks outside, they see that everything has changed since their loved one died—not just for them but for everyone.” It can feel like everything has, indeed, changed since March 2020. Lives have been lost. Jobs have ended. Once crowded urban landscapes have thinned. In the midst of it all, new dreams have emerged, and priorities have shifted. What lessons have we learned during this season that we want to incorporate into our lives as the world continues to reopen? Where is God at work as we enter into a new season of reorientation? What is the new normal we want to embody? Join us on Sunday as our powerful NEW series, "Lessons from the Pandemic" begins and we ponder the question, "What do you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" Pastor Donna is back and eager to worship with you at 11:00am.
