Taking God Seriously: Lessons from Archbishop Tutu || Seeking Glory
Can we truly understand the mystery of Christ’s presence in our lives without engaging the work of healing and justice?
Can we be sustained in our mission to be agents of liberation without being captured by a vision or understanding of God’s glory?
This Sunday is “Transfiguration Sunday,” a Sunday that bridges the season of Epiphany with the season of Lent. The lectionary passages assigned for this day always take us to the top of the mountain where Jesus is transfigured before Peter, John, and James, an image captured in one of the large stained glass windows inside our sanctuary.
You are invited to join us as we ponder these two questions posed by Bradley Schmeling and examine what might have fueled the extraordinary ministry of Archbishop Tutu as our series inspired by his life concludes with, “Seeking Glory.”
