What did Mary know? A popular Christmas song asks, "Mary Did You Know?" as if this young teenager understood little about the child she was carrying. But Mary seems to have understood far more than many of us can imagine when she learned she was pregnant with God's Son and opened her mouth to praise the Lord. She then continued to say "yes" to allowing God to use her as she helped Jesus become all the world needed him to be. Mary stepped into the moment. She used her gifts to bear Christ to people who desperately needed him. How might we do the same?
Join us this Sunday as we light the Advent Candle of Love and continue to anticipate the arrival of Christ who has come and is coming again.
