Isaiah 43:1-7 & Luke 3:10-17, 21-22

We began our worship series, "How Does a Weary World Rejoice?" by acknowledging our weariness. We will now conclude the series with trusting our belovedness and claiming how, ultimately, our joy is rooted in the fact that we belong to God. In the story of Jesus’ baptism in the Gospel of Luke, the heavens open, the Spirit descends, and a voice pronounces that Jesus is one who is Beloved and with whom God is well pleased. Some translations of Luke 3:22 read, "In you, I find happiness and delight."

How might we fully claim our belovedness, standing firm on the belief that we are the source of God’s joy? How might this truth impact how we treat all of creation? And how might this central aspect of our identity be the reason we can rejoice--no matter what?

Join us on this morning as we ponder these questions before being invited to explore several prayer stations designed to help us remember our baptism and claim our belovedness.
