Monumental Faith || Lessons in Hospitality
When our "Monumental Faith" series began, we learned how the word "monument" comes from a Latin word that means to remember or to recall. Monuments help us remember a particular person, event, or organization. Our series concludes this week as we ponder how certain meals, specific foods, and radical hospitality help us remember particular people, places, and events, as well as God's promises, provision, plans, and presence. The sacrament of Holy Communion will also be celebrated as we gather around a table designed to help us remember Jesus' last supper with his disciples and look ahead as we proclaim the mystery of our faith.
