Psalm 47 & Luke 24:44-53

The last three years have brought about significant amounts of trauma, disturbing experiences, and new learnings in the lives of individuals and communities. As we continue to emerge from all we have experienced in pandemic, how might we lean into what nurtures life within us? How might we actively transition from a posture of “fight or flight” to one of “rest and digest?”

Join us this morning, as we turn to the practice of singing as one that connects us with God, one another, and community. We will look at some of John Wesley's directions for singing, examine the invitation of the Psalmist who beckons us to "Clap your hands and shout to God with loud songs of joy," and sing some of our favorite hymns before asking "How can I keep from singing?" even in the midst of adversity.
