Job 42:1-6, 10-17

Our series on the book of Job concludes on Sunday with Job responding to God speaking from a whirlwind, followed by the epilogue in which YHWH restores all Job lost, giving him twice as much as he had before. Hidden within the epilogue is a tiny shift that reveals how, through suffering, Job has learned how all things truly are precious. What if this season of intense loss has taught us a similar lesson—that much of what surrounds us is far more precious than we once understood or realized?
