An Alternative Path || Ichigo-Ichie
Ichigo-Ichie is the name of a Japanese proverb and means: "once in a lifetime encounter" In every season and every walk of life, in each minute, in each second, we encounter people, we experience new things, and feel emotions that will only be unique to that very moment. Ichigo-Ichie implies that what we find in the present—the now can never be repeated in the same way again. Given this reality, how should we—the church be intentionally present with God, ourselves, and with each other? Join us this week, as we reflect upon the theme of being relational; holding to the promise of hope that comes with the afterlife, while also reckoning with the finite nature of our existence here on earth.
