The prophet Isaiah and the four Gospel authors were writing in a time when people needed to hear comfort and good news—the very words we long to now hear. This first week of Advent, Isaiah and the gospel writer who published first–Mark–reassure the people that good news is beginning and the people should, “make yourself ready!” How might we raise our voices, change our hearts, and get ready to be transformed?
