The Kingdom of Heaven: Hidden, Growing, and Worth Everything || Small and Worth Everything

The Gospel of Matthew uses the term, "kingdom of heaven" or "kingdom of God" more than any other writer in the New Testament. We hear or read these words and are often tempted to imagine a place—perhaps like the one described in Revelation where mourning and crying and pain will be no more. But what if the kingdom of heaven is not a place but a verb—the movements of ordinary people who have trained themselves to walk through life more slowly, allowing their eyes to see and ears to hear where they might be able to make a difference?
Join us this week as we learn about some of the kingdom builders from our community's past and the incredible role they played in the life of our congregation, followed by a pondering of how God might be eager to use some of our simple deeds—including those we may think no one actually sees—today.
