Across the country, on 9/11, more than 20,000 volunteers representing local employers, veterans organizations, faith groups, and schools in 18 cities will participate in community Meal Pack Events, in observance of the 9/11 National Day of Service. Collectively, volunteers will assemble more than 6,000,000 healthy, non-perishable meals, which will be donated to local Feeding America-affiliated food banks to assist people facing food insecurity.
